HANDCRAFTED HISTORY

Poverty Hills Wines is a small boutique winery in the township of Springton, located in the Eden Valley sub-region of the South Australian Barossa wine growing region.

We began with our first vintage in 2002, when we made just 3 hogsheads of wine. Within a short time we received excellent results in Australian wine ratings.

The success of our wine then and today is largely due to these factors. Our vineyards are located in the Eden Valley area, known for its outstanding grape growing climate and soils. Our wines are hand crafted, made from the grapes produced in individual vineyards in the region, which have been proven to produce a high quality product. Finally the team here combine their individual skills in all aspects of our wine production from “the berry to the bottle” to produce our high quality wine.

Today, the winery continues to handcraft its white and red wine selection to a high standard. We hope you enjoy the results. Our products are displayed on this website.
